Did Rama eat meat during his exile?
Did Rama eat meat’ will be a long article in many parts as it will examine the whole Vālmīkīya Rāmāyaṇa (VR), not being speculative to the maximum extent possible, to find out what exactly comes out about the oft raised issue of meat eating in general and by Rāma during exile in particular. The article will be a ‘dynamic one’ as I’ll be revising and refining it basis new and relevant findings in other sources and new insights. Meat here should be taken as ‘cooked animal flesh’ taken as diet.
